On Saturday, I catered an affair at Esprit De Coeur and The Accidental Chef that went just fabulous.
It was a wonderful Bar mitzvah preceded by brunch.
Our 225 guests took the trolley from Temple Shalom just two blocks to Esprit de Coeur and The Accidental Chef, our complete event center.
Guests from across the country enjoyed five courses of traditional Jewish fare and Louisiana favorites.
I made Kugel from a recipe given to me from the host. Everyone said it was the best they had ever had — including the host’s mother. I should be so lucky!
The flasgstone courtyard was filled with tables for the guests to dine and everyone enjoyed the picture perfect day.
The day was such a hit the President of the temple said she would call this week to discuss scheduling other events for the temple.
The Accidental Chef was transformed into a dining room for the kids with traditional kid fare, although many adults made there way in to try the macaroni and cheese, which I was told was necessary to have the perfect event.
My sous chef dazzled young guests as she prepared scrambled eggs and lox with cream cheese. A recipe I used from Goldie Loxs in Manhattan. Who Knew? My staff was amazing. I am sure that when every detail is complete The Accidental Chef we will be a catering machine. Book your event now at the corner of Lee and Garfield. Shalom!
